December Mantel ~ two styles

Good Evening Curly Q's...Playing around with my holiday mantel this fine evening and the star of the show (besides Madonna of course) is my new/old Belguim crate shelf!  The postman just dropped it off and up it went!  In the knick of time too because I was desperately needing some inspiration for that Jeanne d'Arc French Nordic style that I adore.

Shall we go serene or add a bit of whimsy? I like them both!

Look at my snippet of vintage French monogrammed ribbon ~

As I was tying it on the pitcher, the lollipop that was reserved for a special little boy's package worked it's way up there!  His mama & papa will be happier this way.

So what do you think?  I'm leaning toward the lollipop look...

Hope all your days are merry & bright!
xo Roberta

Lollipop, absolutely. I guess it speaks to the child in me :-) Lovely arrangement, Roberta. You've sure got the knack.

Either way is gorgeous, but I like the lollypop for pre-Christmas. The other way could go into post Christmas a little while. I always like a touch of whimsy in anything I do!

Both are beautiful but by a narrow margin I like the one with Whimsy and the extra candles.

Thanks for e-mailing me your Blog link, I'm loving it... especially the Bohemian Treasures in previous Posts! *swoon*

Hi Roberta
What I am really in love with is the ex-voto!!! I've been coveting these for years and yet to obtain one.. so you've inspired me to look harder!!!

I always loved your mantels and the madonna is such a lovely addition at this time of the year.. but I can imagine the lollipop will appeal to your youngest admirer!! hehehe... and be high enough until time for the eating!! haha..

Have a lovely week.. ciao ciao xxx Julie

Both mantles look great! I agree with Sue having the lollipop one before Christmas and the more subtle one after Christmas. But wait a minute...WHERE DID YOU GET THAT CRATE? I LOVE IT!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I like the lollipop. The red and white stays for the US in this beautiful french inspired decoration.

Wish you a seren and beautiful christmas, xoxo Mira!
