Waterside Wednesday and A Beachy Shack

Over on the other side of the bay I discovered this teeny beach shack a long time ago.
Every summer I take a drive over there just to take in it's charming qualities. It was probably built after Hurricane Carol in 1954 and never maintained. I let my mind wander and picture a young family having fun by the water with just a little spot of heaven for the weekends.

I was happily surprised that someone had painted the shutters crayola green with whales on them. I wonder who it was...the owner? a neighbor? I think it was the latter. I have never seen anyone here and by the looks of the grounds, there aren't any paths down to the beach. I couldn't even get to the back of the cottage to take a pic.

See the shells on the window sill? They've been there since I first found it...
Notice the one shutter on this window and one on the window on the other side. (first photo) Beachy folks have a way of making due...

By the way, I had someone keeping an eye on my every move...can you see her basking in the morning sun in a favorite hiding spot? If you look closely you'll see the chimney covered in vines in the above photo. Now, this is my idea of a perfect beachy kitty life.
