Lilac Sunday

Another beautiful sunny Sunday and let's just say that I had to go out 'scouting' for some lilacs for this very large English Ironstone 'Waste' jar.  My lilac bushes are still a bit young...

Romantically speaking, I was hoping to find an abandoned farmhouse out on a country road with an overgrown lilac bush just waiting to be trimmed but there aren't too many of those around anymore.  However, I did find a couple of bushes on the side of the road that didn't seem 'attached' to anyone's property although I'm sure they must have been.  There was an old farmhouse up on a hill and these were just outside of the stone wall.

If you have some lilac bushes and have been scouting for an oversized Ironstone jar, you can find this one on my website with free shipping!

For now, I'll enjoy it on the sideboard in the dining room with the scrumptious fragrance of lilacs!

I hope your day is filled with beauty!

Lilac isn't in flower yet where I live but I love it . I planted a lilac last year but I'm sure it will be years before it flowers.
Last year I found 2 bushes on the edge of farmland and just ad to plunder a few stalks .
They were on the edge ,dry , no visible signs of water but loaded with blossom
