Waterside Wednesday and a Conch Fence

This makes me smile...
You've gotta love this conch fence! It's delightful! I've been meaning to take pics of this place for a while now so I'm glad that it's Wednesday! I drove down to the very end of the island early this morning and out at the tip of Wilbur's Point sits this charming cottage with a pretty seaside garden, a 'conch fence' and a stunning view! What's not to love?

This appears to be a studio....I would love a peek in here. It's so peaceful and beautiful here with warm sunshiney breezes, old sea dogs roaming and an occasional seagull calling.

At one time conch shells were plentiful...not so much anymore even though there's a tiny island called 'Conch Island' just off of 'my' beach. They are just fragments now, just as beautiful though.

I can't think of a better way to use sun bleached seashells such as these. I must add a picket fence to my wish list...

Can you see the beautifully adorned statue among the flowers? She appears to have a necklace on! Another tresor found... I would love to meet the creative caretaker of this property and snoop around...

Thank you Barbara for hosting Waterside Wednesday. If you are not yet participating, jump on board where it's fun in the sun, surf and sand!

Hello Roberta, how lovely... I left one comment but I do not believe it took... I wish I lived by the ocean! I love the conch fence... when I receive my book from you I will dream that I am walking along the beach, gathering seashells for my own fence... xoxoxo Julie Marie

This cottage and property are on my wish list!! I'd love to live near the coast...

I can't find your profile, Roberta, so I am guessing you live on Cape Cod (??). So beautiful... The conch fence is whimsical and definitely original and I love when little statuary pieces poke out from under lush plants. The necklace is the icing on the cake! This owner sounds like someone you should get to know!!

I'm coming over from Gina's Beach party...

You truly are a great finder of hidden treasures ;o)

Love this little house (studio) with all the amazing conch shells! hmmm...are they laying loose or are they secured somehow?

Blessings & Aloha!

Hope you get a chance to come by my beach parties... (yes that is plural...I tend to want to post every beach picture I can find...but thought it was too much for one post...so I split the parties in 2, to give all the party-ers their choice to party til the end!)

If you do stop by, please leave a comment, so that I know that you were there :o)

Roberta, you always have the prettiest posts!! That fence is just wonderful! You live in the prettiest place. I would be outside photographing the beauty everyday, sigh....

What a wonderful idea! The birdhouses all over the studio are quite sweet as well. Actually, I could live in just that teeny studio.

Oh, we saw this very thing done in Barbados & I didn't get a pic. So glad you posted yours! I'm trying to convince my husband that pickets would be so much better than wrought iron. I'll use your photos to remind him.

I would love to live in a little cottage by the sea, where the only noise is the sound of water lapping and seagulls approaching. I too would love to know who lives in the house with the conch fence!

Hi Roberta,
I tried to find you today...I was in Fairhaven, had lunch with a friend at Margarets. We walked around, I went up and down Main St.
I didn't know I was going that way so I did not have your info with me, but was hoping to find you. You are right we are practically neighbors. I will try again.
Hugs,
Donna
