Fabulous Outdoor Rooms

I've been dreaming of sleeping and bathing in the great outdoors (in style of course) since coming across these fab photos.

The swinging bed (suspended by chains) in the enclosed summer porch is so inviting. Love the bed linens, drapey fabric and table candelabra.

I wonder if there is an outdoor shower at the back of Jeffrey Bilhuber's "Rose Cottage" on Nantucket which is typical of houses on Cape Cod. If so, perhaps it looks like one of these found at Coastal Living.

I think it's high time to get to work on this wonderful idea. After all, every waterside cottage calls for one. I'd be happy with any of these, but if it were made from old chippy doors with smooth river rocks underfoot that would suit me just fine too. Just as long as there is nothing overhead to obstruct the sky, sun or moon. After all, that's just the point isn't it?

hmm... I recall seeing an old door just this week with a diamond shape window. Perfect!

If you have an outdoor shower you'd love to show off, please send me a picture. I'd love to see it!
